May I just say that this works for me. I understand it. It's right. It makes perfect sense and I don't understand why it's not THE WAY IT'S DONE in general. It should be. Why did I have to stumble upon this all by myself? It was because I lacked to courage of my own convictions and listened to other's who knew it all. Not for long though. What you are doing is nothing new to me. My mare and I have been doing it THIS WAY for a long time now. Why? Because it's simply how it's done by those of us who think for ourselves and disregard the assumptions of the hard core horsey experts. HURRAY FOR US! Lucy aka Linda E. Richmond Northport, Ala.
